Alright, guys. I'm gonna let you know what he's looking for. AGAIN. He wants constructive criticism. That means he's looking for people to point out flaws. And don't say there aren't any. There always are.

For example, the face seems to stretch a bit longer than it should and the nose is wrong. In fact, I remember it being pyramid shaped. I do like the lighting on this, but the shading on the red ^(hair?) could be smoother. Now, as for the energy vortex itself, I don't know if that design works so well. It screams Photoshop filter extravaganza. Did he ever use those sawblade-shaped things? I wouldn't know, so correct me if he did. Still, you could've made it blend a bit more with the rest of the picture's style. If it weren't for the bloom effects, it'd stick out like a sore thumb. Perhaps a simple ball would've done what you wanted without drawing your attention away from the focus, which I think should be the strings controlling Mario. Can't find anything else, at the moment.

Yeah, I'm not very good at handling noses at that angle, or just noses in general. I see what you're saying, and I have now just thought of a good fix. I'll try to smooth out the shading on his hair. About the 'energy vortex'. That is a special move Geno uses, named Geno Whirl. It's a rapidly spinning disk with sharp, jagged edges. I used the smudge tool so hard because I wanted to give it the appearance on not keeping still, but is in movement. I guess I didn't achieve that, but I suppose it was okay for a first try. Hmm, I was attempting to tell a story behind the artwork. Like, Geno is being shunned by Nintendo, so he's spiteful over Mario. Geno is seen controlling Mario as if he were a puppet, which is indeed ironic, and Geno is seen moving toward cutting Mario's strings with the sharp moving edges of the Geno Whirl, signifying he wants Mario out of the picture. At least, that's what I was going for.

I'm sure if I had known exactly what the glowing saw blade was, I would've seen where you were goin' with the strings. Yeah, not bad. Now that I know what he's doing, it paints it in a different light. Pun intended.

My only Crit would be that he looks too smooth and not ... woody enough


But I don't know much about the character ...or art ( I really should play the game while I'm at it)
