Basically, Izaya from Durarara has the same voice actor (and very similar voice) as Araragi from Bakemonogatari, so if Shizuo heard Araragi say anything he’d probably think it was Izaya. Celeskid kept bugging me about what would happen if different characters got into inter-series fights and one of them (iirc) was Senjougahara vs Shizuo if Shizuo managed to kill Araragi.

When I originally thought of the comic, I also considered adding other characters who also had the same voice actor, such as Otonashi Yuzuru from Angel Beats! (he’d be asking people if they had seen Kanade and Shizuo would whip around swinging a street sign, Otonashi would duck and yell “Are you trying to kill me?!” in reference to the first episode), and Zetsubou-sensei (he shouts about how he’s in despair because of the gang-based culture, Shizuo throws something at him and he would die if Kafuka Fuura didn’t somehow get in the way, as usual), but considering how much effort it took just to whip out these two pages (at least 4 or 5 hours on the first, and probably 3 or 4 on the second, having to redraw Senjougahara at least 6 times in each panel), i didn’t think it was really worth it
