Hello, and welcome to my art topic filled with many arty things.
Sometimes I draw cartoony styled art, sometimes anime and sometimes realistic, maybe if its for a school project I'd draw in some other style too.

NOTE: Some of the quality of these pieces may vary because sometimes I'm able to scan them, and sometimes I have to use my iPod to take a picture. I'm very sorry!
ANOTHER NOTE: IF YOU ARE UNDER 13 YEARS OF AGE OR CANNOT STAND SEEING NEAR NAKED MEN THEN PLEASE LEAVE THIS TOPIC IMMEDIATELY!!

most of you watch stuff like dragon ball z anyway so i dont see why you wouldnt be ok with shirtless men

!!! im pretty happy with how this came out, ill definitely keep practicing until im comfortable drawing this kind of bodytype. i kind of need to draw this character a lot for a project im doing

also i drew this before the muscle practice but this was just a little silly thing i wanted to make for a friend

Feel free to use! Just give credit where it's due.

Fiora Laurent: show

not the best picture but i think it captures it well enough
i had to do this one under set conditions and if i had to do it my way i would've left the face completely white OR changed the colour of the dots and made more dots. otherwise im pretty happy with it

(fiora laurent is from league of legends (yes i know im a loser))

bob haired woman: show

this one was just to practice drawing hair, i'd say im fairly alright with this one, i feel like the hair couldve been shaded a little better and the scarf thing couldve been shaded better also.

kuroko tetsuya: show

im pretty happy with this one, it sure was a long process because i stopped working on it a lot due to my perfection issues with the hair and shirt, but im glad its finished now. if i could change one thing i would fix the shading on the shirt, and maybe the fringe of the hair.
If anyone was interested, I've got some work in progress shots of this piece:

ellie jackson la roux: show

drew this for an art project where we had to draw a realistic picture of a portrait, this isnt a usual portrait but my teacher made an exception because she likes the different colours in it. im overall incredibly happy with this piece and wouldnt change much if i could, maybe just the front of the mouth and where the lips are.

surprised looking girl: show

when my teacher told us to pick a picture from a magazine to draw, out of all the pictures of supermodels girls and really cute guys, i picked this one. it stood out to me because it was different from what everyone else was doing, and i found more of a challenge in it because the girl isnt super touched up with make up and all that stuff that makes the skin easy to draw. im happy with it, but if i could change one thing it'd be the positioning of the eye.

DROPPED WORK:
Viktor Nicholas Portraits: show

ahh i see what you mean, the neck is too far to the right in the picture so her head doesnt look like its connected properly
thanks for pointing it out u qt

also small update, finished shading and drew the hoodie on the first picture, also added a WIP picture of hairstyles for practice for my final

Your artwork is looking very good; I love the anime styled ones. You are very proficient in that style. Are they redrawings of existing art, or custom poses?

About the majority of the images, I have noticed that they are very textured. Some look more intentional than others. I'd suggest taking more time in building value. Try to use actual drawing pencils if you aren't and make sure to use layering instead of heavy pressure to create dark grays and blacks.

Another note on the final image is to take a look at form. I know that it is more fun and more challenging to do artwork completely freeform, but I'd recommend using a ruler when trying to achieve symmetry, and similar to my recommendation with shading, you can create form by building values, should you take the time. Try to use directionality in the strokes of your pencil to achieve such form.

I wish I was better at drawing anime things! I believe that you will amaze yourself with what you can do if you keep at it!

EDIT: My favorite is definitely the picture of the blue-haired basketball player.

omg someone finally took time to give me some advice
hi thanks for taking the time to comment on my work!!
the senjougahara and kuroko tetsuya pieces were redrawings of existing art that were slightly edited to my liking, but the rest are all mostly custom if not entirely. (i say this because sometimes i tend to copy a little bit from references)

about the texturing thing, i guess it wouldn't help that i know very little about what the proper tools are to use when drawing pieces like these, i usually just pick up my HB pencil and draw whatever, i guess with my coloured pictures its easier to tell where i pushed really hard with my pencils.

ah yes i see what you're talking about with the symmetry image, the drawing does look off compared to the picture, specifically with the mouth and left eye (her left), again i don't really think much about using tools other than pencils i have in my pencil case, a sharpener and an eraser. i can see how using a ruler would've greatly helped me with the quality and accuracy of the image, so next time i'll remember to use one.

in regards to the shading comment, yes i've noticed when i shade pictures that i mess up directional lines and it ends up going all over the place LOL, doesn't look very neat does it? i'll try pretty hard to work on that, i think i do shading like that only because i get impatient and want to finish it quicker, this can be fixed by some patience.

you can be good at drawing anime things! you just need to keep trying and learn from the pieces you draw, that way you'll learn the signature anime art style traits while creating your own style out of it.
remember to draw things you're comfortable with! drawing a different style, whether it be someone else's or just a general style and getting frustrated with it is no good!
(not to say you wont be getting frustrated at anything you draw, it happens to me a lot sometimes haha, but if you don't get angry while you draw that is an awesome ability to have and im completely jealous!)

thank you for commenting on my artwork! i can use this comment to further improve the quality of my pieces and i hope you enjoy my artwork in the future!
(thank you! the blue haired basketballer isnt my favourite drawing, but hes my favourite character in the world ;) )
