Not really Adventure Time style imo, the shapes seem to off for that.

Also is it a small blue cushion he has around his neck then? That sounds rather comfortable and would be a good threatement to neck pains.

Like he said I don't think it really looks "Adventure Time" style but I like it nonetheless.

It's just part of his design, it doesn't do anything special.

If you think it makes him look 'cool', then yes.

It makes him look like a Buizel, kind of.

even with my limited knowledge of anatomy; I can tell you arms cannot bend that way.


And it still lacks ankles and a crotch. The arms cannon glove whatevers seem uneneven and the face is placed way to high. The shading on the pants also doesn't reflect (ba-dum tssh) the fact that light comes from the gloves.

Ok, draw me a rough sketch of how ankles and a crotch are supposed to look like, because I can't seem to get it right.
Also, there's a light source coming from under neath him and from the gloves.

I'm affraid I'm nowhere near the level where I can provide work that manages to give people insight in anatomy.

Google however, should hold plenty of images of that sort though. Just google 'how to draw anatomy' or whatever and see if you can find something that helps you.

EDIT: Although in retrospect, I don't believe the 'Adventure-Time' style employs ankles and wrists and crotches since it's stylised and what not. Dunno, not too familair with it.

I've seen enough s**** to say that no, it doesn't at all. Nicko seems to be using a highly-customized AT style, or at the very least, a much more detailed version of it. So yeah, it's pretty much artistic design.

Ok, but point remains that ankles etc. are also missing in his other works, most notably Buizel Blight.

I think Buizels are cool.

But back on point- I guess it all depends on whatever direction you want to go in- I'm getting the idea you want to go more into stylised cartoons, so there is less of a rush for ankles and wrists (just use gloves). Still, learning the bascis of anatomy is a good start for drawing in general.
