Maybe a different outline effect and a little bit more dilute on the shadow so its a soft transition into the backround.
Other than that all i can say is that you don't need to outline every part of the picture and try to add a little bit of contrast/colour variety with the images because it looks boring.
All you need is to just keep trying =D
