It's not supposed to be entirely proportionally accurate in that sense. It's drawn to be cuter, more adorable.
But whatever, none of this helps me except golem, but even that is pushing it. Thanks, I think. Don't know why I even bother with this section. |

There's nothing wrong with stylizing your art (I say reluctantly), but you need to do it consistently. The head simply doesn't match the body whatsoever.

Nowhere is it written that your art style must stay consistent throughout each of your pieces if they aren't intended to be connected. If your purpose is to consistently produce pieces under a certain name, or for profit, of course artistic consistency is expected at all times. I'm not in that situation. Especially where anime is concerned, where you are free to play with different styles and proportions to convey a certain emotion. I wouldn't expect someone like you to understand that, so I would expect that you acknowledge that, and use your limited knowledge only where it applies. I.e, not here.
@KP Well to be honest I enjoy your sense of humor, so it's not a big deal to me. Your post made me chuckle as well. The sheep, though, not so much. Yeah I do expect those who frequent the art section to at least be somewhat helpful, like golem is at least trying to be. Whatever hah, it's not something I'm going to worry myself over. It's been happening for a long time in this topic, so I'm more or less desensitized at this point. |
