I would say semi-purposefully, I didn't intend for it to have such a big effect.

Thank you. It's great that MG got to see my growth as an artist. I'm not done improving yet, though. I have a really long way to go still.

Uuhh... I disagree. He isn't completely settled in his style, yet. You need versatility for that.

Taking a leap into something much harder can help him develop and learn more about his style from experience and drawing characters with many different emotions is something that he lacks and needs to improve on which Manga has a lot of.

Disagreement abound. Manga is a media in and of itself. You must have knowledge of structure, a proper script, and a set style to implement a page correctly. Geno needs practice with proportion and perspective, first. Once he's able to draw a great bust, he'll move on to full body sketches. Once those are down, he'll continue to draw them until he's sure he can do them at every angle. Then, and only then, will he be able to produce a page worth reading and admiring.
