In a nutshell, emotion doodles are drawings that come from me doing one of a few things. To simplify, it comes from me containing an excessive amount of one feeling. For example, the one above me spawned from being frustrated. My aim isn't to convey the emotion or feeling that I'm expressing, but It's interesting to see how such a calm and mellow piece can come from one being frustrated. So.

I tried a lot of new things here, not sure how they came out. Please make sure to let me knows things I did right or wrong, so I can correct them in future pieces.

The bubbles are a good idea, but since they're such a stark contrast to the drawing style, it makes them stand out in a bad way.

You're also not very consistent with your shading style, you used some sort of gradient shading for the hair and then dead shading for some other areas. Your light source is also a little hard to define, you have a decent amount of lighting coming from the upperleft but at the same time you have a nice amount of light coming from the back (from a large # of angles). For some reason I really like the border though, simple and contrasting.

I didn't really intend a light source. It's from the back, I suppose. Right behind him. I did the smooth on one side hard on the rest on purpose. Thanks, it was a last minute addition.
