Why are you here? How did you find the place? Why are you still here?
I'm curious as to why some people came here, and it would be nice if you all shared your reasons.

As for me, I came here because of SSF2. I played SSF1 a long time ago, and I went back and played it again. Then, I saw the trailer for the second one, and stumbled my way here.

I found a "hacked" version of SSF1 where all of the characters were unlocked, so I decided to go inform the forums. Then I saw SSF2 and was curious as to whether or not I could "hack" SSF2, after a lot of fiddling I eventually got access to the sprites - just not the code. Then I posted some nooby message saying something along these lines "Your game isn't safe it's hackable BLAH BLAH BLAH". Either way, I believe it was on an older account of mine which later on I couldn't access so then I decided to make an account named 12Warrior12.

Found SSF1 in 2007, then found old MG in 2008, learned of SSF2, joined old MG, became a SSF2 f**, left shortly afterward, lurked for 3 years, started to like the community, joined new MG in 2011.
Pretty generic.

2-part story, but both parts are short.

Why I play SSF2: One school morning my brother showed me SSF1. I liked it. He showed me MG, and showed demo v0.1b of SSF2. I liked it even more.

Why I am on the forums: Believe it or not, I originally came here to make bug reports. Then I suddenly realized: I have a forum account. And that, my friends, is how sin came into the world.

I found SSF1 just days after it was posted to One More Level, then found a link to the forums shortly afterwards (via the strategy guide). I lurked for a few months, until people began discussing a potential sequel for SSF1. I joined the old boards in June of 2007, and have been a part of the community ever since, give or take a few months of inactivity here and there.

I still remember Ryan Kajito before his face-heel turn and NF back when he was THE go-to spriter before the real devs took over.

Started waaay back in '84...

Nah, not that far, more like back in 2006, i came across SSF1 and loved it, started playing it non-stop (still play it to this day)

Then in '08, the new forums came out, i lurked there for about a month. Brawl came out, so i started playing that non-stop.

And about a couple years of playing the demos...The day after Christmas last year, I became a member of the MG community.

That's a good short summary of how i got here.

Neron's work on deviant art, and then some ones comment said "SSF2", so I wanted to check out the rest of his work on this game.... and yea.

So not really SSF2... it was Neron.

I learned of ssf1 from random internet browsing in like 2006 - 7
