Food for thought; the 'kid' seen in the elevator is a young Psycho Mantis.

Also the guy that burns the elevator down reminds me of Volgin, perhaps the Phantom Pain will establish how Volgin became the original "Mr. Lightning Bolt"?

Or maybe he's just pissed that he wound up turning into a popcorn machine of bullets.


Considering the title and what happened, I'm guessing Big Boss is gonna face some maybe literal ghosts of the past.






It turns out the Pain was behind everything in the series.

If they weren't literal ghosts, it wouldn't be a Metal Gear Solid game.

Except in 4 with Ocelot.

Nanomachines aside, I think Ocelot really was possessed in 2, and thought it was a good idea to pretend continuing being Liquid in 4. Although I only really remember that from a theory.

Speaking of Ocelot, if that's him in the trailer (and it totally is, don't delude yourself), he ages like milk. Poor dude.

I think he aged so fast from MGS: Twin Snakes on forward because he inherited Liquid's genes through the arm.

This takes way before the first Metal Gear Solid though, Liquid is still like, 13 by the time of this game.
