Hi. I just came here a while ago, and I am completely lost. I have no idea what to do; every time I try to ask for help or try something, I get shot down or told to go somewhere else. WHERE DO I GO?! I'm trying to make my own Smash Bros. game. This is something I really want to do; I've been collecting sprite sheets, sound files, backgrounds, and several different programs I can use for 3 years now. Some of which I found right here on McLeod Forums. But I'm nowhere NEAR what I've seen in SSF2. I could use some help. If it comes to it, I can go somewhere else. But this site is the best I've seen. Can I please have some help? I'll go along with whatever you guys need me to do, just, please. Help me start off on my lifelong dream of being a game designer.

The resources you've gathered are rendered rather moot if you do not have the coding skill to implement them properly. Those sprites and sound effects will do you no good if you can't use Flash-or even Game Maker, so I hear-- to actually make your game out of them. Your thread got locked because it is an idea, a plan you do not have the experience to enact. To be brutally honest, even if you were able to make your game tangible, that will not mean it will be good or enjoyable- you are among dozens, mayhap even hundreds who have the same aspiration as you do. If this is something you are earnestly passionate about, start learning a simple language and work your way up to Flash. Get people with actual experience to aide you in your progression, instead of asking them to make your game for you. If not, spend your time doing something else productive~

Since every new kid who comes to this site wants to make a f*** smash bros. game, the mods generally don't bother to put up with it
basically give up and go make something original, or better yet go enjoy your childhood

Honestly, don't start making indie games.
You'll only ruin your life.

My advice is to invest your time in something that will get you somewhere in life, not making rehashes of popular videogames.

1. You, just like everyone else here, are going to fail at this.
2. Can't do that.

Oh yeah, I should mention that those files aren't yours and you will have the mighty fist of the internet come crashing down on you if you attempt to use them
