You're pretty much taking one of their two similarities (the other being timestop) and trying to make it seem like they'll have the same moveset based on that similarity alone.

I've seen them make DIO's moveset with enough variety in the past that this shouldn't be an issue.

I'm mainly basing this off the Heritage towards the Future and ASB movesets, ASB did try to give him just about anything to make him seem less of a Jotaro with Knives and Air variations of Muda barrages.

Yoh and Yugi would be the ones that deserve to be in the game PLAYABLE. I'd also wish Kinnikuman returned too. They make a decent amount of sense to be in, right?

The situation kinda strikes me as 'on-disc DLC' but considering that the article states that the characters 'aren't as finished as the rest' I guess they started them after the deadline or so. Either or it makes perfect sense for Yoh to be revealed alongside the Stand Users considering that Amidamaru is basically a stand anyway. Really hyped for DIO. I hope that there will be more DLC but these seem to be the only files so who knows.

Dio and Jotaro being DLC makes sense since the Part 3 anime is starting soon

Jotaro is the most popular JoJo so it would've made sense for him to be in from the beginning but I can see why they'd wanna hold off on him to promote the anime.

I don't think Yugi will be in the game, considering how he fights. They'd need to make additional models for ALL his monsters which would be too labor intensive. They already toned down Bobobo in that regard- lots of his costumes and items from his gags aren't included (bar the dog suit). If anything I think Yugi could be a support with Slifer the Sky Dragon.

I dunno how I feel about the Dragon Quest character. Shonen Jump has a long line of Dragon Quest manga and Toriyama is the lead designer for the series, but I feel like he doesn't really belong. I still hope that characters like Cobra and Claire could be added down the line but I kinda doubt it and the roster is fine right now imo anyway.

EDIT: huh, kinda odd that JoJo's Bizarre Adventure may be getting 4 characters as well. For One Piece it's justified by it being Shonen Jump's most popular and celebrated manga (as well as the most popular manga world-wide) but I figured Naruto and Dragon Ball would be soon behind, as opposed to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (in therms of getting a fourth character, not popularity). I'm not complaining though.

Maybe we should start posting a list of suitable DLC characters plus characters we'd really want in the game. Sucks, but you really do have a good reason for Yugi there. It definitely makes sense.

-Claire (Claymore)
-Piccolo (Dragon Ball Z)
-Kakashi (Naruto)
-Baoh (Baō Raihōsha)
-Captain Battleship or OVER/Torpedo Girl (Bobobo)

Remember that the game is aimed primarily at the japanese audience. Kochikame is among the most popular manga in Japan, indicated (but not limited by) by the fact that it's still ongoing.

So your argument is invalid in this case, although if the game was developed for a world-wide audience you'd have raised a fair point.

If anyone's still going after this game beware of Vegeta and Saiki they're far too OP to fight.
