On another note, I don't really get the purpose of Google Plus. Is it just another social networking thingy or what?

It's like facebook but with better privacy settings, better chat, videochat compatibility and a smaller userbase (although I hope the latter changes).

That's a good point. I don't know why, but I phased out of using msn for some reason.

As much as I loathe facebook for how much people rely on it while I wouldn't even trust it to keep an eye on my drink while I go to the bathroom, I just don't see google+ being able to match up in the eyes of those who use facebook most often. Heck, some people actually consider those ridiculously irritating games an "appeal", just to prove how... Special people can be.

Also I am starting to think you're right. I handed out a few invites but people don't want to start again, much less so when the userbase isn't as big.

My brother is addicted to social networks, but I'm not that into them.

I admittingly have a Facebook. It's my replacement for my phone when it dies. I also like to make smart remarks onto statuses and constantly asking who the hell cares about any of it.

Facebook flame wars are pretty fun to read, especially when you know the people arguing.
But making smart remarks on the statuses of people you know (at school, for example), is the quickest way to get into a fight, so I wouldn't recommend that.

Note that forums are not really a social network kind of thing. They are a place to discuss topics with like-minded individuals, most of the time. If the forum was full of my IRL friends then I might reconsider the definition. I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish by acting smart and failing.

I wanted to point out that your definition of a 'social network' was, if not flawed then at least, different from mine. I apologise if I was not eloquent enough to get that point across. There's just something about you that clouds rational thought within me.
