I think this needs to be said for all. But metal characters, specifically metal bros, in classic are MUCH too aggressive! There ruthless even in easy mode, or I'm just bad. Maybe there difficulty could be turned down.

Everytime I have gone through classic they have just chased me off the stage and SD'd cause they are literally a million pounds

Not to stop the circle jerk I started, but I just got the work from a Metal Meta Knight. He ended up gliding over the edge and SDing,though, so all is right in the world I guess

Metal Mario in the original Smash 64 was a lot more annoying, since the metal physics were a lot more extreme back then.
