Stickers were kind of pointless, I never used them.... all they did was stop me from getting every achievement.
To this day I have unlocked every achievement except for the "collect all stickers" one, without using any golden hammers.

yeah it takes a while, it was the last one for me too
i only unlocked it like....a few months ago?
the drop rate for those rare ones are only decent in SSE on intense mode

Stickers actually had a purpose outside of collection though. It could be used to raise character's attributes in the SSE mode. Trophies were strictly for collecting. stickers were dumb from a gameplay perspective but made sense from a developer's perspective
all the stickers use official art, so it's an extra collectable that took barely any effort to add

I think it would be cool if they had collectable Assist Trophies/Pokemon, the game would start with only a few, and you'd have to collect the rest. Instead of starting with most and unlocking the few secret ones I mean. At least then you'd have a collectable that does something useful.

I think stickers are a good way to show Nintendo's characters, ranging from popular characters to characters most Nintendo fans don't know.
It's just another version of trophies, just without long description.
