what's the best thing to do when a Naruto has his rasen shuriken ready?
especially when he keeps using shadow clones...

I had this situation so many times pretty much every Naruto I've fought and it was not pretty for me.

Oh, it´s simple. REFLECT/SIDE STEP THAT f*** SHURIKEN!

I tried that. But he keeps doing side b so he can stun me. I tried doing it with the clones too but you have no idea how many times he did side b, up b, and down b.

Roll away from the side B range, maybe?

Maybe. But I also need to keep an eye on the shadow clones on the ground after Naruto does Up B.

Powershield shadow clones and stay either on the ground or slightly above and behind him. If you see him start to use it and you're on the ground, shield. If you see him start to use it and you're in the air, jump towards him and airdodge. If you get caught in the stun and you're on the ground, SDI away from him and buffer the UP direction to DI if you get hit. If you get caught in the stun and you're in the air, SDI towards him and upwards and buffer the UP direction to DI if you get hit.

Use certain characters that are able to cancel out his clones.

Characters have certain attacks that can cancel out his clones, like Sheik's nair, Fox's nair, or Marth's fair.

Rasenshuriken does have a stun radius, but it also extends his hurtbox, which certain characters with disjointed range like Marth's forward smash can do.

I feel like making a mini-guide based on what Naruto's down-throw can do. Also, is Naruto's down-throw suppose to spike? I know it can, but usually when I do it near the ledge my opponent still hits the ground and goes the opposite direction. During a match I played today, I literally just spiked my opponent downwards to their death. Not sure if this something you can just do, or really bad DI.

I think its a meteor smash, but not meant to be strong or have good hitstun.

There isn't any way to guarantee that your opponent will go off-stage, no. They can always DI back in to land on something. It's swag when you do get it, though.

Naruto is SO GOOD.
So good when you use his 15 other moves that is I stopped playing Naruto because everyone else playing him was so braindead... But I do play Online, so maybe that explains it.

But I got back into playing him again and man does this guy have his uses. With the proper spacing and reads you can chain combo 0-death without ever using side B. There are just so many moves people don't utilize from Naruto, I'm glad they're getting nerfed in Beta.

Well, it's been forever since I've even posted on the forums or anything ssf2 related but here's something I may or may not have discovered about Naruto:

After beginning a game, the first rasengan can be charged (not fully for the rasenshuriken) > be used as attack (whiff or landed) > save the charge > charge the remaining amount of the rasengan used into a rasenshuriken. Don't have any real way to record this, but it's pretty easy to do. Just charge a rasengan at the beginning of a game but not fully, use it (either whiff or land it, doesn't matter), then finish the charge. This only works for the first rasengan charge of the game regardless of whether it comes at the beginning, the end, Naruto's death, or Naruto's opponent's death.
