It does make you move further, but its also double edge sword when it comes to out of shield options.

??????????????? You replied to TCS' post about MELEE Luigi, not sm4sh luigi or brawl luigi or 64 luigi. So why would the other iterations of Luigi even be relevant in this conversation? TCS made a post referring to Melee Luigi, and I'm gonna assume if you have half a brain (which I dont even know if you do at this point) that your response was about Melee Luigi. So no s*** I'm gonna only focus on Melee Luigi in my responses.

I understood the point you were clearly trying get and I get the options he has.

I read your post, but I am not sure you are reading mine.

I replied to his post because he was talking about my post when I was referring to Luigi in general, he brought Melee into the conversation when it came to Luigi's ground mobility in that game.

Luigi is known for having poor movement due to always having poor mobility. He has fast attacks, but poor mobility.

Star killer is a technical player, so he is used to dash canceling to prevent the dashing stop animation from allowing the opponent to punish him, due to Luigi's low traction.


This was my original post referring to Luigi in general and TCS simply replied with talking about Melee Luigi.

Can we all just... stop trying to be the biggest drama queen? This isnt getting anywhere but pointless and ridiculous at this point.


The Cyclone to kill off the top definetly looks interesting (especially for people like me who spammed that move only in Brawl for a while), but I hope that it wont have the power to kill off a Nair at 40% or so, that would be a bit too much imo. Recovery also looks good distance wise, but I dont know yet how safe it actually is this time. Cant wait to try this guy out.

Btw, did Luigi's misfire seem to go a bit too far? I feel like it could be suicide even if you are close the center of the stage facing in the closest blast zone direction

They probably are using the distance from Melee, where Luigi would travel a great distance compared to the one in Brawl/Smash 4 where the distance is less and safer. Though with how Luigi's recovery looks better then it does in Melee, it shouldn't be a problem trying to recover again.

Edit:
After looking at the gameplay of Luigi mis firing from one ledge to the other on Yoshi's Story, I can agree it could lead to an SD if the Luigi aims at the blast zone if they're off stage or if they venture to far where they can't recover. However, seeing him come from the bottom of FD gives me hope that he could survive something like this.

Yeah just use it to recover or to hit someone and you won't kill yourself with it

Does Luigi still have his crawl? If so, how fast is it? It would be awesome as a mixup/movement option.
