It's November now, and you know what time it is: time to announce information on the 2015 Golden Joystick Video Game Awards. And if you thought declaring Dragon Age Inquisition game of the year last year was stupid, wait until you see what we've got this year!
We've got Sunset Overdrive nominated for best original game! You know, that open world game with parkour, zombies, and memes! You remember Sunset Overdrive, right? Right? Remember when indie darling Her Story took the gaming world by storm? Who doesn't? That's why we've nominated this little engine that could for eight different categories, including game of the year! What do you mean you've never heard of Her Story? iOS and Android are in the running for best gaming platform of the year! Still gets more attention than the Vita. We know you loved it when Dragon Age Inquisition won game of the year back in 2014, so guess what? We're nominating it for game of the year again! Seriously! Grand Theft Auto 5 adding a first person mode was so mindblowing, we nominated it for innovation of the year! Also, Xbone classic #IDARB! Just look at this innovation. We also nominated Life Is Strange six times. And guess who's in the running for Playstation Game of the year? None other than The Order 1886! ...It's been a slow year for Playstation. What's Undertale? Obviously it's not an indie breakout hit like Her Story! _________________
