Homebrew (in the world of emulation) is a game created by a person for a platform that could be used in a emulator (which is illegal) or that actual system (the means of which is illegal) without permmition of the company that created the platform. it is illegal because of something with the patents, I think it's someting about reverse engineering, or something along those lines.

In fact, you are mistaken. Emulators themselves are not illegal, as they can be used as an auxiliary method for having the original console.
The same goes for games. (As long you have the original game, you can have a ROM of the game)

Wrong, read this.

For a contract-like agreement ment to fill loopholes, it's got alot of personality.

I'm not using an emulator nor Nintendo's source. I'm making a game from scratch, thus its not illegal.

Ain't gonna happen.Nintendo refuses to take offers with sony.

The refuse circle
Nintendo refuses sony (Basketball game.Got cancelled for PS2 because of mario characters entry.Nintendo refused it for PS2)

Sony refuses microsoft (Im not sure but ill find proof)

Microsoft refuses Nintendo (Halo DS was incomplete because microsoft wanted most of the share and nintendo wanted 50/50.Therefore Microsoft cancelled Halo DS)

Do you see now?

 That's irrelevant. This isn't about Nintendo and Sony joining forces. It's a homebrew game, not commercial.

That's s*** written by nintendo just to avoid getting copied and loose money.

The truth about emulators is that there is NOTHING illegal about them [as long as you have bought the original machine], and ROMS are legal as long as they are free-right games, or if you have the original game. [There is a loop hole in here, wheter this games can be obtained from other people, or if you should create the backup yourself]

The "illegal" thing about this game would be the intellectual copy-right nintendo has over all his characters and the "super smash brothers" concept; but I highly doubt that Nintendo is EVER going to waste it's time sueing 5s8k!|) because he is not going to sell the game.

If the video games company sued every fan game, then they would have hell of work.

1º stop the off-topicness

2º No they are not. They were rivals, but they stop being it a long time ago.

Since Sega sold they capacity to sold hardwares to Nintendo, they have been allies, and Sega has only been producing games.

Also, if you wonder about snake in Brawl; that was not because Capcom agreed, but because Hideo Kojima (creator of Metal Gear) requested it personally.

3º I'm going to lock this... if the author wants re-open it, then PM me.
