For the record, they already showed the Master Core in the Smash Bros Treehouse presentation. So we're really not seeing anything new in that PotD at all, unless you've been hiding from SSB under a rock.

I'm disappointed in Link. Sure, I'm not a Zelda fan or anything, but I had hoped that such a famous Nintendo character would get more buffs. But he is still too slow to work with...maybe I'm using him wrong, I dunno. Though I just learned about the meteor smash he has, so...hmm.

You're kidding, right? Out of the 5 characters in the demo,, the way he looks and feels, he seems to have gotten the most buffs.
New dash attack. New meteor smash for his D-air. He DOES run a bit faster than brawl. His sword slashes end quicker than brawl. There are more, but I'd have to look more into it but those alone show that Link is MUCH better than he used to be.

If Mega Man seems great you probably don't have a strong grasp on what makes characters good or bad in a smashbros game.

Since I'm mostly a casual, you'd be right. If nothing else, he's good in the sense that he seems unique (this is odd, given that third party characters don't often impress me). I'm not that great with him yet, but to me, he's worth practicing with.

I'll admit, I expected too much, and so when I did play as Link, nothing seemed different initially. But now that you mention it, he is much better. And not just better -- I may actually make him my third main. Finally, a sword user I can get the hang of.

Link is so much better then he was in brawl, I might use him for the first time in Smash Bros. His meteor smash is ridiculously good and easy to land. His dash attack is almost as strong as a smash attack, his arrows are a lot better too, you can really edge guard with them properly now.

Don't get me wrong he's a TONNE of fun and he has really great design, like the way he moves and attacks is super unique and fitting. He's just awful lol.

yeah mega man is hard to get used to definitely, but i am liking him in the demo so who knows, probably not a main of mine, but he's not awful I don't think at least.

I wouldn't say Mega Man is awful, he's just is gonna take more skill then the other characters. I'm sure there will be people that main mega man that know what they're doing.

I don't really think his ceiling is that low

He's got some weird handicaps, but int he right hands, maybe we'll see something special

Maybe somebody'll pull an Amsa with him, a decade down the line

I have found thus far that I hardly both using Mega Man's specials, it feels like his smashes hit way harder and have more diversity to them. Might be my inner casual speaking, but that seems to be the best way to use him to me: strike hard and pragmatic, especially with that Mega Buster

I play with Link in the demo so Megaman is really easy to deal with. All I have to do is crouch since he takes half a second to launch most of his projectile or I can just hit them hard to cancel them. Projectile attacks out, Megaman's physical attacks are more useful in combat.

I'm playing with fire, but anyway:

"Pic of the day! PAC-MAN makes an appearance on the PictoChat 2 stage. We've included this as an element from Pac-Pix, which was released in 2005. It was quite revolutionary."

"There are a lot of new elements in the PictoChat 2 stage. In this screenshot, it looks like there is depth to the stage…or like there isn't. The illusory nature of the drawing is meant to challenge your perspective."

Here's some interesting tips I saw while waiting in Local play:

Luma can attack even when Rosalina is stunned or asleep... OP;
When you cast thoron, if you continue to hold B, the beam will go farther away;
No hitboxes on Charizard's wings Up-smash;
Marth: The counter depends in the attack it is countering. A countered smash attack may KO an opponent. (that one might've already been in the series and I just didn't realized it)
Peach's side-smash has an order. 1st the tennis racket, 2nd a golf club and 3rd the frying pan dat frying pan
Fox's S-spec is not a suicidal move on the ground anymore

Shulks Monado Arts: show
Buster: You deal more damage than usual but you can't launch opponents as far and you'll receive more damage
Jump: Increase your jumping ability. You'll be able to move quickly in the air, but you'll also take more damage.
Smash: You can launch opponent more effectively but you deal less damage and can be launched more easily yourself.
Shield: Power of your shield is boosted but can't move fast, jump high or deal much damage
Speed: You'll sacrifice damage and jump height in order to move faster

You can see them in the tips sub-mode but it'll take you forever to find the info you need so that's why when I find something useful I post it (if you're wondering why I'm doing this).

It was like this in Brawl.

No hitboxes on Charizard's wings Up-smash

huh interesting.

Fox's S-spec is not a suicidal move on the ground anymore
Saw this on Fox's SSB4 page on Smashwiki.

So I was messing around with Mega Man, he's really not bad. All about short hops to air moves, instead of relying on his pretty s*** ground game. And his specials are good for distracting and racking up damage. Smashes are all great KO moves, and he's got a good meteor smash.
