this is exactly how the older FE games were and Conquest was constantly advertised as such

Hmm the thing thats confusing me the most is all of the other content in the game. like is MY castle accessible anytime or is it literally beat a stage and go to the next immediately

it's probably finish a chapter, then go to my castle, then to the next chapter, so on so forth

Actually, once you get to a certain part in the game I think it just lets you exit the battle and you can immediately go to your castle. (At least that's what I've been doing)

I'm playing Conquest by the way, it's pretty fun, although I'm still getting over being spoiled by Awakening. Normal-Casual because I suck

now that i've actually played the game, i'm actually a bit grateful that the petting isn't present only because of how much time it would take up

it already takes too long to do the bonding thing without the petting feature (considering you have to do it like, 30 times to max out that heart meter) and petting would make it that much longer

you can grind supports in DLC (Beyond Awakening is free) so if you want to read all of the supports without doing a million playthroughs then just do that

As previously said, Conquest is kinda like a throwback to the OG FE days. I think what will happen is that you can access your end-game units for the DLC maps and thats it. Thats how they did it for Path of Radiance; once you beat the game you can use your units in Trial Mode, and start a new game with fixed growths but no characters/levels were carried over

oh if the the game has a NG+ feature than great if not than well s*** i guess

i don't think Path of Radiance had a new game + option though, it was just a different way to play that you unlocked. you didn't carry anything over

carrying over in Conquest would defeat the purpose anyways

Anyone else have trouble actually getting the game? Tried to preorder from gamestop, said they had a supply and demand problem and that they canceled all preorders. They said I had to come in when the game came out to get it. So I went in the day the game was released, and they said I needed a preorder. WHAT??? I was so pissed. Anyway I had to buy it through the e-shop with those stupid nintendo e-shop cards. I don't have a credit card so this was my only option. But they only had $10 cards, so I had to buy 6 of them so I could get both games. When I got home I discovered that the O's and 0's, and U's and V's, look exactly the same on the cards. After 30 minutes of entering codes I finally bought the game. But then it took two hours to install. Anyway it was stupid and frustrating, and I really hate gamestop now.

At least the game is good.
