Although I think that this is a great idea,I feel like the dissidia series is better suited for a handheld. That should be the buyer's own decision, particularly if it was available to download rather than buy as a disk. That would keep things closer to the fanboys and all.
I support the decision to put the thing on PS3

Hear hear! Although i wouldnt get it, at least not right away. As it would mean starting over from scratch, and i dont feel like doing that. :P

You seriously don't think that Square would take a hint from Konami and let you transfer files between systems?

I'd want it on PS3 to give them more room for characters (Drako wants Vincent >_>) for future games or DLC.

Cosmos: Tifa, Zidane, Terra, Cloud, Tidus.
Chaos: Garland, Golbez, Jecht, Cloud of Darkness, Sephiroth.

My highest is Tifa at 27, but that's only because I trained lots during her story. I like her fighting style a lot.
