@Raignai (or whatever your name is): I am quite strongly not religious. Most people on this site wouldn't know what an Alternative-Humanist is, so I'll just say the next best thing and say I am Atheist. You don't have to not celebrate Christmas because you don't believe in the Christian view on the holiday, you could just see it as a time of family get-together and giving.

It is Rainagi. Rain and Age without the E and just add an I. I was saying people are greedy because they always think of the gifts. I have celebrated Christmas because my parents are Christians. Even when I did celebrate the day, I didn't care about gifts at all. I stopped getting anything related to a holiday since I was 6. 12 years later, still nothing. Zero, for instance, cared that they got $50 and clothes. It seemed that they cared about presents more than actual family. That is what I was trying to prove. People now think that everything is about gifts. It isn't. It is more about a depression that the US is facing. Christmas, to me (though I don't celebrate it, and just making that clear.), should be about celebrating that you are in one spot and not in crap conditions. Hey on chrismas i was left all alone playing my computer,my mom went to see my grandmother,my sister went shopping and my father was gambling because some of my relatives came over to my house but didn't even give any gifts,how unlucky is that(but still managed to get $10 and a watch)
