Bison, Vega and Balrog were in the background of the Airport stage in SFIV and they were still in the game so

I mean I know we all like to jump to conclusions but they also put Akuma in the BG of the hand hideout stage before he was announced in MvC3 so anything can still happen at this point. They dropped hints that he'd return as a character so I'm confident he will.

I don't think they've ever shown a character in the background before a reveal though in street fighter, so I think it's pretty different. Also, bison, vega, akuma and balrog are much larger characters than Alex. If he ends up in that's cool, but I personally doubt it.

Also his hair is short and he isn't shirtless. 0/10

I'm not 100% sure what's going on with his hair yeah. In general I'm not 100% confirmed it's even Alex, but we haven't gotten any good pictures yet (though most people at the event recognised the character as Alex).

The jacket appears to be his leisure time jacket that he wore in his endings and was part of his design for the cancelled Capcom 3D fighting crossover. I kind of doubt they'd shorten his hair since it removes the Hulk Hogan image of his design, but SFV takes quite ab it of liberty with the designs of characters. Even if they did change it drastically I'm sure they'd have a classic Alex costume in the pipeline though.

Here's a clearer image, it seems pretty unmistakable to me. Yeah, as long as there's a classic alex costume I'm fine. I want one for Karin too, even though the new one is amazing. I need my midriff fix.

People have been arguing as to whether it's Alex or if it's actually Final Fight's Axl (not to be confused with Axel Stone from Streets of Rage). Having seen Axl and his counterpart Slash's design, the jacket appears to be theirs but there isn't a way to be sure until Alex is either revealed or officially deconfirmed.

So, fun fact: Laura is officially confirmed to be Sean Matsuda's older sister. This makes her the true heir to the Matsuda Jiu-Jitsu martial arts style.

I played the beta a few times yesterday. Ken is really fun and the connections were really good.

Some dataminers cracked the beta files looking for extra features, and found high-poly, fully rigged character files for:
- Juri Han
- Alex
- Ibuki
- Urien
- Guile
- Three other nonspecified character files, titled "Fan", "Sim" (Dhalsim?), or "Boxer" (could be Balrog, could be Dudley)

One of the worst girls and one of the best girls revealed at the same time. What a world.
