I hate to say it, but I'm calling it: Sandbag's unlock method is to shoot ALL credits, or at least a certain amount.

Good guess, but devs have already confirmed that any character before the full release will be starter characters on, or after the full release.
But if you're talking about unlocking in beta... More likely a target test typeomg if it is sandbag soccer and Sandbag fights you as red coloration.. We need a story mode before we can have credits.

Sandbag is the exception to that rule, if you've read his Dev Blogs
He will always and forever be an unlockable character
Hence why his unlock method is claimed to be odd, his name being Comic Sans on the CSS, all the CLEOD-BOT lore (Despite McLeodGaming-related characters being a strict no-no, CLEOD-BOT snuck in) and the fact that Sandbag was described as the "Ultimate Joke Character" are a thing
He's meant to be the 1 percent

All this being said, I wonder if Sandbag will be playable at SSC. I mean, I sort of hope he isn't so we get the fun of experiencing him first-hand when Beta releases, but you never know...

I'm kind of doubting he will be. Glass cannons don't have a history of doing very well in this series.

Indeed, if you ignore the fact that everyone is a glass cannon in smash 64, the only game where glass cannons do well is Melee (Fox, Falco, and Puff). The rest of the games, none of their glass cannons hit as hard as those three compared to the rest of their game's cast. Most of the time these "glass cannons" are just kinda bad characters that happen to have a good offense haha

So he could be one of those two outcomes. Either his offense is that good or he crumples under the slightest weight.

Glass cannons do fine in SSF2: Lloyd, Fox are very good, and Yoshi, DK, and BBM do fine too.

so i was playing a server them someone joined so i started the match
it took me to the training room as normal
but when the match loaded it spawned sandbag
*BTW i choose final destanation*
so i fought it thinking i could unlock him
but when i checked there was no sandbag could u guys help me with this?

That's just a online bug (or glitch idk) that many have reported very earlier in the year.

Sorry, but Sandbag ain't playable until Beta, probably by the end of the year.

Trivia: it's possible to lose against him if you SD. On the results screen, he just stands still and the announcer stays silent after "This game's winner is..."
