I've got a pretty stupid idea for a Sandbag costume too.
So... Sandbag is a character that was made using only three sprites which where stretched and distorted in Flash. If the reason that we don't have custom costumes is because it'd mean respriting every sprite for every costume, then wouldn't this not be a problem for Sandbag since it only uses three sprites?
(I might be remembering this information wrong though)

With this in mind, I think that it'd be nice to have a costume of Sandbag that includes his red eyes from Sandbag's trailer. It seems like it'd be a more passive version of it's rage-filled red costume.
If this costume was in Beta, I would definitely use it. And date it. And love it. Stroke it gently.
Credit to whoever made Sandbag's sprites for making Sandbag's sprites cuz I just used them.
I've sprited it too. (but I don't take credit for doing so since I edited somebody else's sprites)
(if Sandbag's sprites can't just be replaced to make this costume then the red eyes could be added as a hat)

[EDIT] I removed the original Sandbag sprites from the image.
Hopefully that fixes the problem with me showing Sandbag's sprites.






BTW, I've realized that Pixlr wasn't as accurate as I had thought. I've tested the Metal Mario and Luigi costumes in Flash and they weren't exactly the same (They were pretty darn close though. Nearly identical. The order in which filters effect the image is different, which is why it didn't appear the same as it did in Flash).
I'll include all of my previous costumes remade in Flash when I post the new costumes that I've made. Not in the next post, I'm too lazy.

as a guy who has also done the thing you have done (albeit mine was probably to a much greater extent)
I don't think it's a very wise idea to put Sandbag's sprites out in the open
yes there's only 3 sprites (not counting expressions despite me doing those too in my "rip") but SSF2 sprites are SSF2 sprites and I feel as if that should be a confidential thing

Ok, so I've finally finished making these costumes! I’m using Adobe Flash Pro CS6 to make the outfits now, so expect an increase in quality. I got lazy and didn't include (and by include I mean make) the remakes of my first costumes in Flash, so those won't be here.

By the way, I have a new layout for displaying my alternate costumes. I realized that it would be better if you could compare the costumes to the default outfit, so I made it so that by opening and closing the first box with the second box open that you can compare both of the images.

Just like my first costumes post, there is a box at the end of the post that contains all of the images in one spot. You can use it to view the costumes just in case my new layout doesn't work properly.

In my opinion, you forgot to include the Pichu costume,
Blue Tails, and Ness Ness (as Ness' default outfit).




Now, Pichu... Pichu is a really solid alternate costume.
It's almost perfect. I wouldn't say that it is perfect,
but I would say that it's close.

The Blue Tails costume looks pretty good. Visually, it
looks pretty normal compared to the default outfit.

Ness Ness has to be in the game in my opinion.
I seriously hate how Ness' colors don't have as much
contrast as it should. Ness should definitely have his
default outfit be this color palette to make him look
normal in comparison to the other fighters.


If a dev sees this, I have to say... Please make Ness'
default outfit the "Ness Ness" color palette.

I don't know about the others but I do know Tails already has a brown alt based on AoStH

Question, what's the closest thing to using flash for these alt costumes? My pc sometimes crashes when |I use flash
