so i discovered this new anime, called fairy tale. it looked pretty actiony, so i watched the first episode dubbed.... i hated it...
for three reasons
1. it seemed way rushed! like everything was happening so fast it was hard to understand what was going on, maybe it's just cause i'm used to animes being long and dragged out (bleach) ahem... but i didn't like it.
2. Confusion? i felt like they were trying to hard to explain every little thing in the anime, like the different types of magic, it got really consuing, i guess this kinda goes along with #1 but, i though i'd point this out.
2 1/2. music? i didn't think the music was very good.... i think they were trying to set the setting, but...i dunno
and last but not lease...
3. Natsu's voice... was it just me or was Natsu's voice WAAAY annoying. he has like a deep voice that you'd expect to come from a 40 year old with a beard who is extremly buff.... but it comes from a kid who looks like he's 15, scrawny, and doesn't have a beard... WTF?
this is just what i think... what is everyone else's opinion on Fairy Tale?

Dude, you watched the episode that basically is meant to set up the story, and you didn't like it because it explained too much?

It's Fairy Tail. The first episode is really just trying to set up the story and the setting. You should at least watch until the first major arc is finished to see if you'll like it. It really does have a lot of things in common with the shonen action shows you seem to like...

The dubs okay, but some of the character's voices *cough* Natsu *cough* are a little unfitting in the dub. You may want to stick with the sub if the voices bother you that much.

your right, i shouldn't judge the anime by the first anime. thats what my friend said about it as well

I mean Natsu and Luffy have nearly the exact same facial features, especially their angry eyes
Lucy and Nami also look really similar
