Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the signup topic for the Mcleodgaming tournament, dedicated to finding the answer to one simple question; who is the best roleplayer on this forum?

No, I made no mistake, this is not meant for the RPB, anyone is welcome to try and take this prestigious title that proves without a shred of doubt your skill as a roleplayer. In fact, it is encouraged to try, even if your chance of succeeding looks miniscule. After all, you will learn much from these battles, and may even be considered for the RPB.

Now, the rules are simple, you are allowed to sign up with your character of choosing, but this will be your only character, no switching halfway through the tournament to take on an opponent with a different character, or anything of the sort. Bios must be created in the RP Character Bios (If your character doesn't have one yet), and a link must be provided. (links are used to avoid the first post becoming huge) Obviously, outside help of any kind is prohibited.

The tournament will be fought out in rounds, which will consist of people fighting in 1 vs 1 combat. You and your opponent will be grouped together randomly by way of dice roll. In the event of an uneven number of players at the end of the sign up period, attempts will be made to have one extra member enter, if that fails, one person will be, regretably, forced out.

As for the tournament itself, a group of 4 RPB members (plus myself) will form the 'jury', who must be called in if a fight is taking too long or someone becomes accused of godmodding. In the former event, they must choose a victor, and in the latter they will establish if or if not godmodding took place, as well as the correct response to it. If any of the jury members are involved in the fight over which judgment must be called, they will, for obvious reasons, not participate in the decisionmaking.

Each fight will be held in a seperate topic in the RPG section, using the names of both fighters and the current round.

When the title has been won, that person will become the uncontested champion for a full month, after which, instead of a new tournament, RPB members may challenge that person for his title, in order to ensure that the title doesn't become some meaningless trophy.
