I've recently been exposed to computer programming(Java) and even though I probably can't compare to some of the top notch programmers here(cleod, monks, etc) I still wanted to show what I can do.
After making some of the more common and easy programs such as the "Hello World" and the "Calculator", I decided I wanted to do something a bit more challenging while still keeping in my range of programming skills. After thinking it through, I went and jumped straight into a workout planner.
I must mention that this project is still in the making. When I first started planning the Workout Planner, it was supposed to be a plain and simple.. Well.. Workout Planner. You could type in your workouts that you planned to do and check them off yourself. I figured this would be a tad bit lame and unneeded on a PC platform(As I have not acquired the skills or resources to build it on a mobile platform). To "fix" this, I've planned to add the programs ability to randomly generate a workout(Either a one-day workout or a weekly workout to follow for a set period of time) based on a user set skill level that's has been represented as "Intensity". The "Intensity" level of a certain workout group(Upper, lower, core, cardio) will determine which workouts, at which speed, duration, and a lot of other factors. I plan to expand the Intensity factor to surpass the 1-3 level system seen in the screenshots to allow for a more customized and comfortable workout.
I'm aware the GUI looks a bit bad :/
Intensity Selection: show Random Workouts In the Console: show The randoms are a bit repetitive due to the fact that I haven't been really putting in a whole bunch of them yet.
