KaioKen is great and all that, but the random loss of it can cost stocks, especially when trying to SpecSide back onto stage and KaioKen gives out. Yes, I've had a moment when I tried to Upsmash with KaioKen, and it gave out before the attack was landed. It appears that taunting will use up KaioKen's time and will revert Goku to normal within a few seconds. A little more control as to when it will dissipate would be great, more so if a taunt could be used to deactivate it, like Kirby.

The only thing I could see being changed to KK is that it doesn't release while you are in the middle of a move. Let's say you charge fsmash while in KK, and the KK timer runs out. KK won't cancel until after the move has been released. Now you don't have to worry about losing your chance at side-spec because KK ran out, and no more up-b super launch glitches! The revert to normal Goku can still pull him out of helpless so he keeps the potential to up-spec twice. A taunt deactivate might reduce the risk of it, its not like you can taunt while you are being comboed, maybe when the taunt ends he comes out so if his taunt gets interrupted (say by an opponent) he doesn't come out of the form. This means he probably couldn't taunt-cancel to eliminate the lag of the taunt to get out of KK.

it would be super useful yes but then it would completely ruin the point of kaioken at present and we would have to redesign it from the ground up and make it really bad since you have so much control over it. it also goes against smash's design boundaries to switch characters using a taunt. it would be less exciting and less of a "omgwhatdoidonowomg" moment if you could just switch when you feel like it.. and i think it's awesome that you can combo in goku and then hit with downb and continue the combo in a different form. there's no other character that works that way.

I'm pretty sure that he was referring only to exiting Kiao-Ken with the taunt. One would still have to hit with the attack to engage the transformation.

right. exiting kaioken with a taunt would be a horrendously big buff too since it's a double edged sword with taking damage and being able to be comboed yourself.

Indeed. It would be an incredible buff. I don't think he needs it, personally.
The only real mechanical change that I would like to see is the aforementioned "completion of last attack before reverting to regular form". It would make the game look cleaner, in my opinion.

I was playing a 20 minute match with my brother, and in KK mode, he tried using up-special to recover, but he wasnt close enough. While he was incapacitated, he reverted to normal and was able to use his up-special again. Additionally, I believe KK should have the endlag of Counter so it can be punished when spammed, and not extremely easy to get into.

You can't spam it. It's not technically endlag because your hitbox is still active but the move is quite long even if you tap downB instead of holding it. It also has basically no disjoint so nearly any attack beats it out. Not to mention you have to hit someone with down special in order to activate it - that's the only way to change forms.
