Well there's a thought...
I still think I want to put the whole face inside, contrary to the original. I will experiment with that, though.... it does, somehow, make it look less like a banana. (This has been my biggest worry throughout the entire project)

And I'm stealing your crescent fix, maybe...

Really stylish. Lovin' it so far.

Love the palette. Some very nice pixel tech in the mouth area.
I think the middle section (the one with the mouth) is a bit too wide and the one with the eye a tad too narrow.

It's being a while since I've worked with the KSSU sprites, but aren't the eyes full black? Something to consider.

I'm not entirely sure who named this KSSU, but if it was me, my bad. It's an unnamed style.

Kirby Super Star Ultra. It's named after the game the sprites come from/are based on.

I think it might look better with black eyes.

You are aware you are talking to Kirbyfan? The name implies interest in the series, I'm sure he knows what the abbreviation 'KSSU' stands for haha.

What he ment is 'who claimed the style was KSSU', in response to be people calling the sprite 'KSSU-style'. The style is Kirbyfan's own, with aspects from various Kirby sprite-styles (and beyond possibly but I'm no expert).

I suppose that you're right, but his phrasing led me to believe he didn't know.

Thanks for clarifying, though I thought it was somewhat explanatory in stating it to be my own independent style.

The sprite is going to undergo some major changes when I work on it tomorrow. I may dark the eyes, but they'll mostly seem as they are now.

One of the messier works of mine, as of late. I'd started it a month or so back, and since I'm done with my own personal shnaz, I figure it's time to start doing this again.

I understand the anatomy doesn't match most people's preconception of Lugia (bulge on head, jaw), but The reference I'm somewhat-religiously using has it like that, and I've taken a liking to the modifications.
Also, yeah the jaw's shading is awful.

I'm going to work to get rid of the banding a bit as well (JAW), though is some places it will be staying.
