In real life. Then knock his character off the stage as he crawls back onto his chair.

I just play him like a slower, less extreme Captain Falcon.

Then when I go Kaioken, I play him like Captain Falcon.

That's actually the subject of my video. I've been seeing a lot of less-than-optimal Goku play, so I figured I'd make a video explaining the nuances of his character. He's probably got the highest learning curve in the game (which still isn't that bad imo), and there's a lot of little things to keep track of while you're playing him. Stay tuned!

I find that a bit weird, seems like he plays more like Peach with a bit of brute force behind him.

But I see what you mean with Kaioken.

High learning curve? I thought that was quicker characters' job....

Would a Peach player have an easier time trying to learn Goku?

Probably. He does play a lot like Peach.

Probably yeah. His aerials have less priority than Peach's do, but the general idea is similar. I think his vertical kill setups are more potent than his horizontal setups, but the two characters share a few things. Float canceling is amazing, so having experience with it helps a ton.

Goku has higher mobility, and his grab game is more flexible than Peach's, so he can be played a lot more aggressively than she can. Kaio Ken also introduces a second moveset, which means a lot of Goku's combos either lead into or otherwise depend on X2. I personally find defensive play less rewarding with Goku than I do with Peach.

Is there really such thing as Super Saiyan 3 Goku in this game? The wiki seems to hint at it but I'm not sure.

Side-b during his finals smash.

Yes, he momentarily transforms into SSJ3 to launch his Dragon punch.

This is accurate except for one thing...

What vertical KO moves does Goku have??? Up-Smash is pretty weak, up-tilt and up-smash were never really that strong, and up-air doesn't have that much knockback.

EDIT: Tried Kaioken Up-Smash out, it KOed ZSS around 130% on FD.
