Also some underground hip-hop/rap would be neat too, thanks

I'm just seeing this topic lol

Warning! Contains hipster, 2hu, and maybe terrible choices in general

I like a huge variety of music:

YouTube Video:

I'm not sure what Genre to call this but I'd really to hear more like it.

YouTube Video:

It's a VG track, I know, but I really like organs. So maybe something that has a feel like this?

YouTube Video:

I love Jazz and electric, and this band really combines the two well brilliantly Imo. Thx for the recommendation, Luke.

YouTube Video:

There's something about a the Japanese language and epic instrumentals that really gets my energy flowing. Are there any bands similar to this one?

YouTube Video:

I really like this group. Anything similar to this?

YouTube Video:

I really like this arranger group. Mainly because the instruments reminds me so much of Megaman X6.

YouTube Video:

Pretty nice track for an arrange. I like the old school sense to this one.

YouTube Video:

I'd to discover more Spainish tracks like this.

All these are straight from my YT liked list. They're just samples of some the music that I like. I'd like to broaden my horizons more, so anything similar to these that you guys recommend will be cool.

slayer, death, atheist, electric wizard, carcass, blind guardian, lost horizon, converge, bathory, entombed, melvins, gridlink

I hope you can tolerate high amounts of camp and slight homoeroticism

maybe check out these albums:
Flying Lotus - Cosmogramma (jazzy electronic beats, highly recommended)
Wisp - NRTHNDR (really good electronic idm drum n bass etc etc, f***' amazing atmosphere)
not really sure what else you'd dig, are you interested in any genres in particular?

Man, thanks for all the recommendations! I haven't gone through all of them, but I've been listening to a bit of Boris and Captain Murphy. Duality was pretty good.
Death Grips wasn't exactly my thing, and I've been bumping a heck of a lot of MF Doom, especially since listening to Madvillainy. Also, Slayer was the first metal band I've ever listened to, glad to see them being recommended.

Seriously guys, thanks!

Sorry for replying so late.

Let's see here: Jazz, classical, electrical, drum and bass, whatever Trans-siberian orchestra is, different kinds of instrumental rock, and I'd like to get into hip-hop and Traditional Spanish music.

jazz: i'd recommend john (or alice) coltrane, miles davis, ornette coleman, wayne shorter

i think the easiest classical composers to get into would be bach, mozart, beethoven, tchaikovsky, all the big name dudes. nikolai korsakov, johannes brahms, and sergei prokofiev would be some of my personal recs

electrical? you mean... electronic? based on your posts, check out the artists/albums i recommended to you earlier

i'm not really the most knowledgeable in dnb music but there are a few albums i like. s*** - gnb, alix perez - 1984, fairly certain pendulum's work would interest you

hip hop wise, check the groups i suggested to hadou, and also stuff like wu tang clan, nas, mos def, drake, kanye west, maybe declaime

don't know s*** about traditional spanish music, sry

hope there's something there you like

drum and bass

bunch of drum & bass artists:

feint (liquid dnb so lots of melody and pleasant to listen to)
ed rush & optical (really grimy, true to its roots drum & bass, might be boring if you're looking to stuff to listen to, but great dance music)
icicle (makes lots of cool jungle and really dark atmospheric stuff with some grime)
Changing Faces (warning there is a drum & bass artist and there is an all female rnb group so don't get confused)
Rameses B (this guy makes some cool stuff dabbling in dubstep, drum & bass, glitch-hop, some real good stuff)
Spor (fast paced drum & bass that's pretty aggressive)
The Luna Sequence (sometimes mixes metal in the dnb)
Anything on Monstercat's drum & bass section is worth a shot
Kill The Noise (also makes dubstep but a fair bit of drum & bass and some drumstep)
Celldweller (does other stuff like metal, dubstep, industrial)

hopefully some of that grabs your attention
