Surprised this isn't being discussed. As some of you may know, there was a live stream (I believe it was last weekend?) with some footage for the game at a location test in Japan.

There was some gameplay regarding two new characters, Clauddio and Katalina. Clauddio seems to have some sort of resemblance of the Devil Gene in terms of power. I wouldn't really know what his fighting style is, but he's middle-eastern? I'm not really sure what to call it.

Katalina uses Savate, which is a style of kick-boxing from France. For a fighting style so brutal, I'm not really sure why they limited it to a girl who pretty much comes off like a hooker.


I don't really follow European fashion, (or modern fashion, to be quite honest) but having your underwear visible despite being worn at the waist is just really shouting the whole "sex sells" thing. I'm not trying to throw rocks at anything or anyone in saying that, but her design is the least bit interesting to me at the moment.

katalina reminds me of crimson viper a lot, which happens to be one of my fav SF chars, so i think i might have fun playing with her

Asuka's probably going to be low tier if they nerf her improvements she got from Tag 2. Mind you when I say that tiers are the least important thing when it comes to Tekken because every character in some way, shape or form is viable because of the design of the game.

I've been using her and Leo for quite some time (more like two years, actually LOL) and I just reviewed their frame data. Asuka is the only character in the game who's 10 frame jab (1 or Square) is -2 on block... and everyone has a plus +1 on block with their 10 frame jab at the very least.

With the 6BR/Tag2 bounds system being removed and they're utilizing a new knockdown (well, not new because it was in Tag 2, but I wouldn't be able to quote you on 6BR because I don't own it). Personally, I'm only a little excited for Tekken 7. I think the game looks beautiful and will only look better on full release. I'm hoping that they do something with the characters they haven't touched (story element wise) in years and tie up the series, or at least as Harada put it.

I think Leo's new combos are pretty sick. I just want Asuka to get some sort of compensation later down the road. Also, if there's any footage of yesterday's location test, I'll link it.
