It's been a while, but I finally got working on Aaron Ehaz. New sprites are the Side Special ones. Its not complete, however I would still like to see it animated. I had to do a lot more custom stuff on this, and I just want to see how it turned out. If it sucks, I don't want to be continuing along a failing path. In the others I fixed some colors and improved the Voltage Ball sprites. EDIT: Apparently the devs have removed effects from expansions (which kinda bugs me), so here's my effect-less sheet:

Good job, the spritework is done well but I'm not a huge fan of the characters hair.

That's understandable. I probably have to do something to it.

For someone that has been spriting as long as you, as well as remarkable work like your PAs, I expected something that was less.. edit-y, looking at the Neutral Special of the character.

Pretty sure that if I picked up some sprites from Card Sagas Wars, painted them black, and then slapped them on a sheet it would also look nice. But then it wouldn't be my work.

As my friend would say "Sprites are made to be re edited and stolen, it the natural rule of popularity" What can you do they still look nice.

Well, I tried custom, but it didn't look good. I CAN do custom sprites, but I've been doing PA's for so long, something that you can fit so much more detail into and each pixel DOESN'T count so much, and when I switched back to spriting, it just didn't look good and it was weird. I TRIED Aaron custom, but it wasn't good, so I decided I'd try to edit again. And, I admit, I was lazy. His sprites were the best pick for what I needed, and his Rasengan was perfect, so I just did it. If it really is a problem, I could probably edit it to something different, but yeah. If I end up continuing with custom, I WILL have to do a lot of custom, however, and things like the walk, run, idle, and pretty much all that stuff will have to be custom.

Well, by all means you're free to create your character the way you see fit.

I am being compelled to make my own custom sprites instead; you're not the first one to tell me they look too edit-y. But thanks for the critism. It gives me a chance to improve.

I think you'll do fine custom, you always have.
That Centurion is still great.

Thanks. I will give it a go, I'm just not too confident that it'll turn out as well as I used to make sprites, after all this time using large-scale PAs.

Think of it like this; chances are pretty low that someone'll die when the custom sprite doesn't turn out to be without mistakes (you've got nothing to lose). And posting it here will allow the general Spriters Corner-goers to assist you in fixing said mistakes. Just do your best, and I'm everyone will be willing to help you if neccesary. Spriting is something that you lose really quickly if you haven't done it for large amounts of time, but it's also something you can pick up again with relative ease. It takes practise and 'fun'. But remember one thing- Don't lose your confidence. If you step in the ring believing you'll fail, you will. Believe in yourself.

Yeah, I definately just need to keep trying. And you're right, I don't have anything to lose.
Thanks for that, I'll keep trying.

Well, it's been a LONG time, but I did a little more on my Ness PA: I need to start adding the PSI and it's own light effects. ...I'll get on that soon. Critism?
