So awhile ago, my little brother was playing my xbox 360 and he shut it off during a system update. Now, every time I turn on my xbox it goes straight to the screen where it wants to update. Even if I put in the disk that was being updated, the update won't finish. I've tried calling microsoft and I haven't had any luck. Can anyone help?

Moved to general electronics because it's about system issues, not actual games.
As for the problem itself, I think the only solution would be to format the hard drive so that a clean install can take place, but given that you don't even get the chance to do that... I think the hard drive might be classified under "bricked".
Then again, my knowledge on Xbox hard drives is limited, maybe someone else has an idea on how to fix it.
