Let's be frank, this section is mostly a waste of space. So, I have come to the conclusion (mostly thanks to a nameless vet) that we should instead revive an old idea; the academy! We've been cooping ourselves up in here, shying away from those with unpolished skills, instead of nurturing them, opening their eyes to what true roleplaying is, and improving the standard for all participants!

So, members of the RPB, I beseech you, shall we drop this wall that divides us from the normal roleplayers, and turn this section in a school where all can rely on our experience and knowledge to help them improve?

Isn't that why they have the Sandbox? To practice?

And I'm talking bigger. Guides penned down by some of our most skilled members, individual training topics meant exactly to improve the individual's writing form, instead of just randomly throwing them into a huge box o' sand and expecting them to improve when they're in a large group.

Besides, we could handle this as our first ever completely IC section.

That sounds like a good idea to me, that is, if people are truely willing to work with people with little to no RPing experience.

That's the biggest flaw I see in my plan, people not wanting to work with the inexperienced RPers. I mean, it's not like I'm going to force anyone, threaten to take their RPB status or anything. It's just that this place is as good as dead, and this could be a good use for the space.

I'll answer questions and occasionally help out, but that's about it. I'm not dedicated myself to anything.

I'd be willing to help out, if it means anything. I enjoy teaching people. ^_^

Or rather, inexperienced RPers don't want to work with me. Case in point, my attempt to improve THoT, he gave up after a little bit. That and we could use some of the other topics as show cases, just get rid of the one that get in the way. I'd like to keep at least Red Sky and Princess of Gavaroche. I can teach anything and anyone. It is just that no one has sought me for help.

I'm not giving up this sanctuary to help some ten year old with creative writing. He can go get a goddamn teacher to help him.

It is not a waste when there are few with the proper ability to admit and allow to revitalize this section.

This section has had more than enough time to revitalize itself, and it has failed. Not due to a lack of attempts, but let's face it, there are just not enough skilled RPers to warrant a section. I obviously won't force you to help with the academy, but think of it like this. We both were horrid at RPing at one time, how did we get to the level we are on today? I don't know about you, but I was taught.

Sure why not, I don't RP here anymore aside from Thai's RP. Helping new RPers to develop their Rping would be interesting and hopefully rewarding in the long run...maybe even revive the RP section? *shrugs*
