Beyond Good and Evil is one of those curious gems that many praise, but few have actually played. Released back in 2003, Beyond Good and Evil gained almost universal praise for its simply gorgeous atmosphere, loveable cast and engaging story. Today the game is becoming increasingly difficult to come by without doing plenty of searching, due to just how abysmal sales were, though I think it's available on the XBox and PS3 marketplaces now.

As I continue to attempt to beat the game's final boss (A VERY unpleasant task, trust me) I decided it was finally time to talk about this lost gem. I spent years on and off going to local game stores and asking about this thing before I finally found a copy back in July and I gotta say, I agree with almost every praise given to this piece of work.

Essentially, take some simplistic yet engaging combat (with a bo staff no less, ALWAYS a fan of staves here), some Zelda-style puzzle solving, beautiful landscapes and some awesome voice acting and you have this game. I highly recommend it to any fan of adventure games.

Anyone else care to discuss this wonderful piece of lost gaming?

sadly i couldn't play it on the original consoles but i downloaded it on XBLA a few years back and i beat it like 6 months ago after a glitch with triple H but all in all the game is down right amazing like omg amazing i loved every minute of it especially that roof top run part

I did like the photographing mechanic. Spend a lot of time in the game making photo's.

Oh sweet lord that building jumping scene... Beautiful... Just... Awww yeeeah awsome!
