My least favourite is Exdeath, he's kind of a b**** to fight at higher difficulties. Haven't played as him though.

Exdeath is the easiest opponent to grind for EXP on honestly. Playing as him is pretty cool, as long as you can utilize his blocks and counters correctly. Though you also have to get used to his VERY slow movement speed, and his slow bravery attacks. Thats why when i play as him, i pretty much just use counters and thats it.

Oh i dont like Cecil as much as the other characters because he is one of the few characters who doesnt have Brave to HP attacks, and his HP attacks are hard to hit with sometimes. This doesnt mean i DONT like Cecil, i just use him the least. The actual characters i dont like at all are Jecht, Ultimecia, Kuja, and Golbez (somewhat).

The Emperor is mad broken lol, just place an airborne Flare (the red one) and cast Starfall while inside of the Flare, opponents wont be able to touch you, nor hit you with any projectiles (the Flare will deflect them) The only attacks that can go through it, are those that can crush guards, namely long range HP attacks. But the short ranged ones, will have the opponent's attack interrupted by Flare, so even if you dont get to cast Starfall, you can hit them with the Flare instead. Mad cheap.

Just wanted to pop in and say how fantastic XIII-2 is.

Yes, the ending is a major cliffhanger, but a DLC pack is coming out that, I heard, will complete it.

I downloaded the Lighting/Amodar DLC, and jesus christ they're serious business, let alone capturing them.

That sounds awesome though. My characters are already at max level though with all roles. lol i got Noel into the 9000 HP range, over 10,000 if i can get some HP boosting accessories on him.

I swear, XIII-2 is X-2 all over again. Except X wasn't godawful. Did they dump the storywriters after XII or something? Cause I KNOW they used to be better at telling a story than this.

Completely agree, though the game is still fun to play.

That's the part that kills me. It literally is JUST like X-2. Down to every pro and con.

Completely awful plot, storytelling and writing, and not a single likable character in the main cast, but the gameplay is still solid, from the sounds of it, which is more than I could say for XIII. I wanna get it, but on the other hand I will have no hand in this blasphemy to the franchise. And now even the DLC bandwagon is being brought in...

I would get it. It has lots of re-playability, something XIII lacked in. And the story really isn't that bad, for a sequel. It's not amazing, but it's eons farther than X-2. XIII-2 wasn't created to give you the happy ending that everyone wanted. I would go for it.

X-2 still remains my favorite spinoff. I like being able to switch jobs during battle. And since X-2 has more jobs than XIII does, then its better in my opinion.

Jeez, it's like I'm talking to the newer generation like an old, outdated fart. Final Fantasy games were about the full package. A well-executed plot, solid gameplay, and interesting characters. FFXIII had none of the above, and at most, XIII-2 has one of those.

Oh yeah, changing the subject, did some digging, X's release to PS3 is confirmed to be a rerelease, NOT a remake as we thought, Geno.

Hey, don't get me wrong, I still prefer the turn-based style that Final Fantasy used to hold proudly, but I'd rather take my chances on their newer things, and submerge myself in their creative environments and stories, than refusing to give them a chance, haha.

Yeah, I heard. It's still going to be a revamp though, just not on as large of a scale. The graphical engine will still be Crystal Tools, but the base of the game will be the same. At least, that's what I heard.

You kids keep rooting for that X remake. Square has hinted they may do a VI remake on 3DS, so that's what I'm waiting on.
