I'm not sure if it would be a new form anyways.
It would kind of be strange seeing as its been around for so long and its had 2 movies (1 movie and 1 episode?) and the form wouldn't have been mentioned. And if it were to suddenly appear in a movie with the excuse of "omg suddenly new form!"? I think that'd be a little lame.
Although, Mewthree also seems odd too..

I think it looks terrible
I'd rather it be a new form for Mewtwo though, since maybe the increased relevance will put Mewtwo in Smash 4
