No you aren't. You aren't considering ANYTHING that ANYONE is saying regarding your play, you just make an excuse for everything. To get better you have to address what others believe makes you a bad player, which I have seen none of. You haven't even asked us once what you can do to improve.

What can I do to improve then?

Are you asking because you were put on the spot or do you genuinely want to learn?

I say let him play in the minis at least, that way he can learn to get better with us while at the same time not disrupting the main game.

The minis would be even worse, where every player is crucial. If he wants to play mafia that bad he can continue over at mafia scum like he has been imo.

Except that by two weeks from now there could be like 5 more minis, they aren't as important and move fast. If it absolutely gets out of hand, sure, put him on some mini blacklist.

Moving the conversation here. I did, dude. That isn't probation. People on probation get to be members of society provided that their behaviour consistently meets certain expectations. People in jail have to wait a certain amount of time before they are allowed to participate in society again. The blacklist is jail, not probation. I'm curious to know who voted. #Genodoesn'tgetthereferenceohwellnotahugedeal That's... exactly what my goal is. A community thrives by accepting new players and teaching them. Not by forcing them to sit games out and expecting them to get better without practice. If someone was actually going to guide Axel in observation of a major game, then yeah, I would be fine with asking him to sit out. Shoving him to the side and expecting him to learn through observation when he doesn't know what to look for is silly. In my opinion, mini-games are the perfect place for Axel if people really don't want him playing in the main games until he gets a bit better. They go by quickly, don't require as much of a commitment and no one really cares if they get "screwed over" by a newbie because the next one is just around the corner. I mean, if people are really that uptight maybe I'll start a probation mini-league so the official(?) mini-games aren't tainted by incompetence. (And again if people bothered to read Axel's arguments in XIV with an open mind they would see they are actually better than those of some players that aren't on the blacklist.) Edit: them ninjas.

and @brik There's a reason he's on the blacklist in the first place. I think that it would defeat the purpose, especially in his case since he really lacks the fundamentals of gameplay, and he needs to really scrutinize other people's play to understand what he's doing wrong, because as we have seen multiple times, his participation in games isn't helping him grow at all. He needs it explained to him personally.

Maybe it's not my place to say, but everyone has there own play style. Not everyone plays the same and there are advantages and disadvantages to how each player goes about there goals. Just experiment with your play style, actually comprehend and learn the general rules of the thumb when on one a certain factions, see what will most likely work and what most likely doesn't, and even take a few chunks from other people's play style. Don't just expect to play a couple of games and get better all of a sudden. Genuinely want to learn and become a better player.
On a side note maybe we should have some mafia classes or something run by brik. Who knows maybe it could help newer people get into this kind of stuff?

Uh...don't know if you're being sarcastic, but I genuinely think it would help. After all the worst thing for new players is all of these behemoth mafia veterans raining down on them. Might as well prepare them right?
