I can accept that he wanted to put across advice about it, however his choice of words were stated in such a way that they were just straight up insulting to Bayonetta players. Zero is, in all essence, a trailblazer. People can take his opinions as law, and if he says "Bayonetta carries players" because he's so full of salt over the Sheik nerf, then he's effectively turned the community against them.

I won't deny that Bayonetta is good, maybe even the best in the game, but saying she carries players is a downright wrong statement, especially coming from a very influential top player.

Who cares when majority of his fanbase is a bunch of FG scrubs anyway. His hurdle of Sheep don't mean anything esp when most of them are just a bunch of lame memers.

Remember, ZeRo is a tier whore. I started to respect him more now, but now I don't know. He will go for the best character in the game, but now all of a sudden he won't.

I get some hate or people trying to tell me different for stating my opinions, but its whatever at this point. I am fine if you want to win tournaments and use top tiers, but their are some characters who might be top tier, but we don't know it yet. Mang0 brought Jiggs to where she is at in Melee and now its Hbox. Armada brought Peach to where she is at, Ken helped with Marth. Esam helps with Pikachu in Brawl and in Smash 4.

Like I respect him for doing well, but at the same time, he gets under my skin.

the smash fanbase is so frustrating because they make such a big deal out of top players using good characters


for him, there isn't a reason to pick a low tier just because they might have hidden potential. why bother risking something dumb like that when you can pick someone safer like Sheik or Diddy and win money?

This is inherently my issue with how high reward smash bros tournaments are nowadays. There's no real reason for anyone to explore the meta of anybody below the top 3 at any given time, so it breeds top players like ZeRo who don't actually care much for the game itself at its core, or the community (especially given the cancerous nature of the things he's said like the bayonetta quip) in favor of lining his pockets. I think it's isn't very genuine when you have someone like him who is literally switching his main after every single major patch. And I think that comes across to fans of the game in a very bad way.

ZeRo's word does have way too much power over a lot of people, considering how many people started using his video as evidence towards Bayonetta's "toxic" nature (hell, my friends have even brought up the video in person while playing, hooray)

ZeRo hasn't switched mains after every patch though, he picked up Sheik (who he claims he was playing during 3DS days, pretty sure he's lying, but whatever) and still plays Diddy even after his nerfs. he even said he isn't picking up Bayonetta.

the meta is still being explored for lower characters; Nairo played Dr. Mario at MLG if i remember right against ESAM, and Abadango played Mewtwo and won a large tournament recently. Ryo plays Corrin, M2K plays Cloud, and characters such as Villager, Mario, Sonic, Ryu, and others are all still being played.

i really don't like the guy, but he isn't to blame for trying to max out his chances to win.

there's more variety in Smash 4 than there is in even Melee, lol
