This needs to be brought up. I know a lot of people like Signatures that are large (hell, mine is pretty big in comparison to sigs on most other sites I visit), and some that have large images or lots of images... But it's got to be possible to limit things like that. I am seeing signatures that will go so long that they take up the entire page. It's incredibly annoying and makes reading threads long and cumbersone. Is it possible to set a bar at, say, 2 images with at most 600x200 or something? Because it's slightly out of control. And I don't have a small screen. I am posting from my Macbook. That is a pretty decent screen res.

I'm guessing you mainly have an issue with stacked images, right? It's really difficult to monitor that, since if you check it all the time then page loading times increase, and if you check it when they attempt to set their sig then there are ways to get around it. Not to mention we'd need some good sig-checking code to begin with. Though this looks promising:

I apparently have not used phpBB in a long time... used to the good scripts. It would be really useful if you could use that MOD, I imagine. Or you could modify the style (like smashboards does) to only display X distance of sig... Ionno. _________________ Ask me about my dead f*** project. |

I haven't seen many problems with sig sizes. If you do pick one up, just PM the person.

If they have a big sig, ask them to remove some of it. If they don't, ask a mod to take care of it.

Mods can't get rid of sigs. Admins on the other hand, can toy with the users as they please.
