A fun way to use shines is to deploy them mid air while you're coming back on stage, you'll float for a bit, it messes up a lot of people trying to ledge guard you.

^ I use that exact tactic every once and a while and my friends never pick up on it. Same way they panic when I pull out the leaf shield with mega man

I wouldn't know, smash 4 is my first smash game since melee back when I was a kid. It was just a tip.

Question of today what is the most useless special move in smash 4? In your opinion.

Out of all of Palutena's defaults, I only find the Neutral Special to be fairly useless. It only deals average damage (about 8-9 damage if all 3 projectiles hit), and is not very accurate. Not to mention if no one is in range, the move does nothing at all. I find her default Up Special to be the most useful of the three since it makes her invisible, making it possible to fake out opponents with it. And her Side and Down Specials, well its a reflector and a counter respectively, those have uses.
I really dont have much experience using her other specials though, but as far as neutral goes, I'd say her Explosive Flame is the best one of the three.

I dont find it to be too useful since its so slow, against competent players its not likely to connect unless you're edgeguarding with it. Thats just in my experience though. I dont play on a competitive level so you could just ignore my ramblings lol. I love Nosferatu actually. Its possible to combo into it, but pretty difficult. So satisfying when it does connect though.

pk flash is an extremely strong ability for edge guarding, but i like to occasionally use it after i up aerial someone you can use it in other ways but its really situational and i cant think of any on the top of my head atm
im not a super good ness player like heaps ive seen but i've played him enough to understand the strengths of all his moveset, i did main him for a while but now im starting to think hes a little cheap
