it literally wouldn't matter at this point what got removed or not removed from the game for me (i mean it does on principle) but i dont think i would buy it regardless because im so f*** mad about it being pokemon'd

the intention in pokemon never has been and never will be for you to buy both versions. the intention is that you buy one and your friends and/or family members buy the other because the trading mechanic wouldn't really serve a purpose if you could "catch em all" in a single version.

the gameplay is the same and the story only has zero to minor changes in every game except Ruby and Sapphire between the versions. you get the full experience no matter what (as long as you have friends). confused moms buying both versions for their kids doesn't mean that was ever the intent of multiple versions.

this on the other hand is just "lol want the whole game? better pay up b****"

see i dont have much else to add to this post but i wanted to show that i thought about what you said and agreed with it. so here we are.

it's really disappointing that FE:Fates ended up being multiple games
the whole choosing sides thing seemed interesting but it's a hell of a lot less interesting when you don't make an actual choice when it happens in-game

I found it less interesting that I have to pay to make decisions in-game

saying "you choose what side you join in Fates" is similar to saying "you choose what legendary you catch in ORAS"

i believe they took the excuse of the 3ds not being able to afford both routes in the same cartridge because it's actually powered by a potato with wires instead of roots so they could sell them in a "collector's edition" which only includes a handbook or something
