I know Java and C++ to a certain extent, but I've always wanted to program some kind of flash games. From what I've seen Actionscript seems similar/easy enough, but I haven't been able to find any kind of step by step tutorials that would help me learn it more systematically as opposed to just looking up random questions I have.
So to anyone on these forums that learned Actionscript: How did you guys learn? Any tips/etc? _________________

The best way to learn, in my opinion, is to go here http://www.flashgametuts.com/
Basically he makes a bunch of simple games and gives you the step by step actionscript used in each so that you can get the basic concepts for various types of game functions down. |
