Short response: You got dq'd because you don't understand the side effects of online mode.

Longer response: This has already happened before, at X2 and X3. Your lack of common sense has led you to request a streamed grand finals (live, not replays), subsequently followed by lag johning. If you knew it was going to lag, you shouldn't have requested such a livestreamed set in the first place. This occured in the previous events as well. This is not what I want from the premier SSF2 tournament series. Your ignorance has led me to disqualify you pending a conversation with my stream chat. You have to understand that if you're going to participate in an online tournament, you have to prepare yourself for lag. I have decided that you're not entirely barred from the entire X Series, but if you disconnect because of "lag" you say, you forfeit that game automatically. Please understand.

Consider yourself lucky I haven't barred you from the entire X Series altogether, especially after that comment you mentioned in the IRC.

you disconnect in the middle of a match, you forfeit that match. it's the same thing as pausing in a tournament game of official smash except worse because you can't unpause and resume position/stock/percentage. this was not an accident.
if you want to dispute this you can pm doq, but I stand by doq's decision and the way you're acting is unacceptable. take this in stride.

imagine if this event had a 200 viewer stream and you pulled this. it completely ruins the home-viewership and it's disrespectful to your opponent. it wouldn't be okay at a tournament of that caliber, and it's not okay now.
