Anyone hear the new Kendrick album yet? Thoughts on it? Love it? Hate it?

I honestly don't understand all the hype surrounding it.

Probably like a 7/10 for me, personally, but I'll give it a few more listens.

The Powers That B was a pretty good track.

On GP and Inanimate Sensation are two of my favorite DG tracks, so I'm super hype, yes.

listened to like one track from the new kendrick, didn't care for it. i dont care for him that much at all anyway tho, so take my opinion with a grain of salt

new death grips tracks are alright. i'll listen to jenny death when it comes out but i'm not particularly thrilled about it or anything.

also lately i've fallen in love again with Tricky's Maxinquaye. Anyone into trip-hop at all should listen to that album, it's a f*** work of art. I've listened to it like 4 times this week

Currently listening to the new Shlohmo, and it's pretty 'aight, but Tobias Jesso Jr's Goon is definitely my AOTY right now.

Anyone here been hitting that Tipper s***? That track there is my favourite from his most recent album.
I actually found out about him because a musician I play with was really into it and he kept referring to it as squid music, based on one time where he took way too much acid and could barely move from the floor and had very vivid squid hallucinations while listening to this stuff.
I honestly think he probably has the most f*** top notch production I've ever heard in terms of technicality. Micro editing with one shots all over the place, layering fifty billion sounds every second, really getting in there and scrubbing up his waveforms and just generally being really anal. Sometimes it feels like he's editing on a molecular level.
I know he makes all his s*** in surround sound so that'd be a f*** crazy trip I think.

Also similar stuff with Kalya Scintilla. Cept Kalya sort of sounds more world music and more shpongley.

Also also also anyone here like John Wizards? That's some s*** I've been keeping my eye on since last year. Found him on Warp records too which is quite out of place really.
