Why??? Doc or Luigi coming back isn't good enough of a reason to throw away his character design, and the smash attacks seem like a non sequitur. What's wrong with him now?

I actually can imagine Hammer as a DSmash, as it would remove an underused move imo (honestly, most people use FSmash to ko with Mario) maybe with fire damage? But removing Mario Tornado would be stupid. It clanks with Ichigos sibe B (!), outpriorizises most of the important projectiles and aids his recovery very well. Maybe if his cape got the Wind cape, but without turning them around...?

His moves are fine as they are imo. Doc. Mario is probably never gonna be in the game, and Fludd is a straight downgrade.

I actually believe Usmash is a way better KO tool, faster, great range, can be comboed into it with some grabs and tilts (tho the later just at lower percentsI think) and can be done out of a dash.

Btw, is down smash second hit supposed to be so weak and lackluster? It's sad how even at really high percents it doesnt send them off stage, so for example, even if you get a good read on a roll with it nothing exceptionally good happens from it.

I'm 95% sure that we won't get Dr. Mario since Mario in SSF2 combines aspects that he and the doctor had in Melee (like F-air, Mario Tornado, etc.). Luigi Cyclone would probably be different enough from Mario Tornado for it to remain on both of them and Luigi is just different from Mario in so many other ways like his physics (slower speed, higher jump), dash attack, forward aerial, Green Missile and Fire Jump Punch.

Just wanted to get this out there; Mario actually has a short-hop double aerial in this game. If you Uair just as you leave the ground, you will be able to get a Nair out just before you land. This is sooooo hard to do online, but I use this offline a lot. It has very strong combo potential and shield pressuring. It's a wicked good offensive approach option.

Hold Z in the air for them airials yo. Itll come out frame perfect.


In other news, Mario's upsmash has got to be one of the most annoying moves in the game.
