It is, from what Harada said in interviews thus far it sounds like it's almost done as well. He is just looking for a good release window. If anything Akuma being in Tekken 7 is a confirmation that the 2 companies are still closely working together. They made him so hype. And they really seem to have transferred the Street Fighter feel of him in a Tekken environment. I like that he has EX-moves; I wonder if that means he'll have a unique special-meter as well.

The Rage Attack system seems very stylish for extend combos, which was something T7 was lacking a bit. A very cool idea to reward good execution. It also seems like game speed was increased a bit.
Also, he's some recent locate testing featuring Harada commentary: http://www.twitch.tv/tekken/v/44412207 Fated Retribution improved some much from Vanilla 7, it's mind-blowing. Can't wait for the competition to be dominated by the Mishimas like in almost every other Tekken game. Gotta love EWGF
 Also, I hope Asuka gets some love in T7:FR. She's always been one of the lower characters in the past games. |

3:45 - Focus-Attack, s.MP, s.HP, c.MK... c.MK, L.Tatsu, Shoryuken, FADC, s.HK 11:10 - c.MK, L.Tatsu, Shoryuken, FADC, s.HK, s.HK, H-Shoryuken. Akuma looks really fun, but he seems to being lacking with good frame-data. Tekken is pretty much all about having safer moves than your opponent for neutral-game, and as the set goes on all of his basic tools seems noticeably more punishable on block. Hmmm... from the small amount of gameplay I've seen Akuma doesn't seem like he has any really good safe low pokes either.
I haven't fully looked at his moveset, but does he at least have any good whiff punishers? If he isn't gonna have a lot of safe moves on block he should at least have a good whiff punish |
